Nurse Call System - App Managed

What's A Nurse Call Unit?

In a medical emergency, a nurse call unit (or medical alert unit) is one of the most effective ways to notify a group that help is needed, so a coordinated response can be launched in accordance with your business' safety management plan.

Vanguard Wireless’ innovative nurse call triggers and sirens address traditional barriers to installing and using a nurse call system: they’re simple to install, simple to manage and simple to maintain – all by your own team.

The Benefit Of Cellular

The majority of wireless safety alert systems utilise a mesh radio frequency. However in some instances an RF network will not work on site, either due to range issues, obstructions or interference. That's when a cellular connection is required.

Vanguard Wireless' cellular nurse call unit utilises the cellular mobile network to connect and communicate with the rest of the system. The built-in SIM card pushes power and connectivity data through to the operating system.

The main point of difference between this and our mesh nurse call unit is that the range of a cellular device is unlimited (provided it is able to establish a cellphone tower connection). This option is best suited to sites with interesting layouts that struggle to implement a conventional mesh design. It may be that there are multiple workspaces spread out over a large area with nowhere in between to place devices to form a mesh; or the site office is outside the radio frequency range, or the project is so small that a traditional safety alert system has been forgone due to the investment required.

The cellular nurse call unit works in conjunction with other Vanguard Wireless safety alert system devices, allowing you to install a system that's uniquely designed for your work site.

Underpinned By A World Class Operating System

Another point of difference when comparing our systems against others in the market is our operating system. The centralised management and maintenance control panel is what helps remove any speculation from system management.

Utilising the Touchscreen Control Unit (TCU) and optional smartphone app (iOS and Android) system managers can:

  • send push notifications to key personnel
  • monitor who Accepts/Declines to respond to a nurse call alert
  • quickly position new devices
  • monitor system events remotely

For instances where a radio frequency connection would work, you need our mesh radio frequency unit. CLICK HERE to learn more about our mesh RF option.
